Subtone: it is what will determine the tone of our skin. Thus, knowing if we have a cold or warm undertone. The undertone of the skin never changes. The undertone degrees are cool, warm or neutral, and these will determine the color of your skin tone.


It is very important to be clear about these two terms when choosing our makeup well, in this way we will avoid that our makeup is cut or orange.

Tone types

Of course: for light skin, the tone that we should use will be pink, it will give them a healthy touch.

Medium: the ideal tone for this type of skin is beige. This is usually the most used.

Dark: the tone for brown skin is golden, thus neutralizing the dull effect, providing luminosity.




Types of undertones

Cold undertone: the colors will be bluish, reddish, pink, etc. The imperfections in this type of skin are more noticeable. If your veins look bluish or purple it is also cold. They do not tend to tan easily, it is more they tend to burn with exposure to the sun. They blush very easily.

Warm undertone: yellow, gold, sallow skin predominate here. Blemishes are better concealed. The veins look greenish. They tan easily. Dark circles are usually more pronounced.

Neutral undertone: there are no obvious nuances if the skin is pink or sallow, just the skin color is different, it is usually a mixture of the above.
